ManyChat is a chat automation tool. It replies to comments and messages for you, using flows you set up.
It works on Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, SMS and email. Its best-known job is simple: someone comments a word on a post, and ManyChat sends them a link in their messages. It is quick to start, it has a free plan, and it says it is an official Meta-approved partner.

How much ManyChat costs, from free to $199 a month
ManyChat is free for up to 25 active contacts a month. Paid plans run from $17 to $199 a month.
ManyChat charges by active contacts. Each person you message in a month counts once, however many messages you swap. Every plan includes a set number, and you pay for each person over it. Pay for a year up front and the monthly price drops.

Go over your contacts and each extra person costs from $0.10 on Essential down to less on the bigger plans, so a busy month on social raises the bill. The price is the software. The hours you spend building and fixing flows come on top.

ManyChat AI: what it does now
ManyChat AI replies to DMs and answers FAQs from what you teach it, on the Pro plan and above.
ManyChat's pricing page says its AI will "respond to your DMs, answer FAQs, reply to positive comments, and guide conversations towards your goals". That is a real step on from button flows, and it is fair to say so. The difference is who does the teaching, and who keeps watching.
